Glenn Schoales
Glenn was born in Glen Cove, New York. He moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 13. At age 19,
he attended Guitar Research and Design Center with guitar builder Charles Fox. In 1985, Glenn moved
to Burlington, Vermont, where he started Schoales Guitars, a repair and custom building shop, he owned for 14 years. As his business grew,
he began training apprentices for high school work study programs. He attended NAMM Show with Schoales
Guitars in 1990. In 1998, he moved to Nashville to work for Gibson Custom shop in the Pro Shop division. He
repaired artist guitars, built custom "art guitars," designed and built NAMM Show guitars and specialized in
custom inlay. Glenn came to work with us in 2005 with 23 years of repair experience. His hobbies include
music, photography, woodworking, sculpture and scuba diving.
