Ian Davlin began his career in instrument construction and repair in 1993, serving a two-year apprenticeship for Ken Cartwright. He continued to work for Ken and several other instrument repair shops while attending music school until establishing a full-time position at Sante Fe Violin and Guitar.Having established a firm background in instrument construction, Ian accepted a position at Breedlove Guitars where he remained until 2005. Finally, he was given a position in the prestigious repair department at Gruhn Guitars where he specializes in neck resets and extensive touch-up projects.
