Late '50s Gretsch Tenor Chet Atkins 6120

The horseshoe peghead inlay is familiar -- it identifies Gretsch's Model 6120, also known as the Chet Atkins Hollowbody, one of the company's flagship models in the late 1950s. However, the four strings are are anything but a familiar sight. This tenor 6120 is the only one we have ever ecountered.

This custom instrument (inv. #EG2935) has special design patent-applied-for FilterTron pickups and the original white hard case with tooled leather trim. It is offered at $5,500.
